Treibball:
Description:Treibball (tri-ball) is a fun dog sport from Europe. Dogs herd (move) balls one at a time to a goal. In Treibball foundation class we will work on the core/foundation skills needed in treibball such as keeping them moving in a direction they're told, moving away from us, and the beginning of moving a ball. Treibball is for all breeds and mixed breeds and is a lot of fun. It is great mental exercise, especially in winter. Prerequisite: Students will need to bring their own exercise ball with them to class (more to follow once students sign up for class)
Agility Foundation 1
Foundation agility is focusing on the skills needed while beginning and throughout an agility career; it is also good for dogs who need to learn confidence. This class will work on skills from Foundation I and continue to add to them. These skills include rear-end and body awareness, handling, jumps and beginning of contacts. Through fun games dogs will learn how to move their bodies, think, play, and focus. This class is appropriate for dogs of all ages (dogs under 12 months might have modified exercises on some of the obstacles).
Prereq- dog needs to be able to stay 5-10 feet from owner and come.
Pre-sport Prep:
Whether you want to build a relationship with your dog, gain foundation skills of agility or obedience, or learn some canine conditioning this class is for you. We will work proprioception (body awareness) exercises to help condition our dogs to be strong and safe canine athletes. We will also play games to build our bonds with our dogs. Great recall (come), building value for being with us (by your side or even in the 'heel position) and play various games to teach our dogs to problem solve, think and work as a team with us.
Tricks and More- proofing skills fun!
